We are no longer accepting donations on this campaign, but there are other ways for you to support us today!
Race For Grace is an annual event in support of Grace Children's Hospital located in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. This event is put on to build awareness and fundraising for the hundreds of children GCH treats every day. Join me in supporting real change beyond our borders.
Just a small donation will go a long way to helping me meet my goal for International Child Care USA, the non-profit organization who supports Grace Children's Hospital.
This year, our team will be walking along the Detroit Riverfront and Dequindre Cut (about 5 miles total) on Saturday August 27th. If you are interested in joining us, feel free to reach out to Ally Siciliano at alexandra.siciliano@gmail.com!
More about the event: Race for Grace is International Child Care USA’s largest fundraiser of the year. An important goal of the event is to build awareness of global health needs beyond our borders. By attracting cyclists, runners, and walkers who appeal to friends, family and colleagues for sponsorships, the team raises needed funds for Grace Children’s Hospital (GCH) in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Haiti, located just 650 miles from Florida, has the sad distinction of being the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. One in 13 children in Haiti do not live to see their 5th birthday due to diseases easily prevented or treated in the United States. GCH has been providing preventive and curative treatment to Haiti’s children and families for over 50 years. Seeing over 500 patients a day in its clinics and in-patient unit, the hospital specializes in the prevention and treatment of Tuberculosis (TB), malnutrition, HIV/AIDS, focuses on child and maternal health, and manages a variety of other diseases. GCH’s services also reach out into the underserved communities around the capital and rural areas in the country.
