I have been involved in ICC for 4 years now, serving on the Board of Directors for this organization that provides basic health care for people in Haiti that survive on less than $2.50 per day. Your donation, regardless of amount, helps provide both preventive services and effective treatment for children and adults with acute and chronic illness. ICC has been successful in reducing maternal and fetal mortality rates as well as the prevalence of TB and HIV throughout Haiti, the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. Yet the number of people in the country who receive little to no basic health care is astonishing. 85% of your donation actually goes directly to providing this care, i.e. our overhead expenses are very low.
